School uniforms refer to conformity in student dress. To continue the safe and disciplined
learning environment at Riverside, specific uniform attire has been selected. All Riverside
students will wear items from the list of choices.

Uniform Expectations:

• Clothing should not deviate from the approved list.
• Students new to Riverside will have ten school days to purchase and begin wearing the uniforms.
• Only plain white t-shirts are to be worn under shirts.
• Brown or black belts should be worn with all pants/shorts, which have belt loops.
•  All shirttails should be tucked in.
• Jumpers, skorts, skirts, and shorts should be no shorter than the length of fingertips extended by one’s side.
• No denim, painter’s pants, cargo pants will be allowed.
• Pants must not drag the floor.
• The student may choose style and color of shoes as long as it follows the Caddo Parish School dress code rules. Beach, pool, or house shoes will not be allowed.
• Hats, caps, headgear, or bandanas will not be allowed.
• Hairbows and scrunchies may be worn, but must be of the Riverside uniform variety and purchased with the uniforms at one of the distributing sites.
• Sweaters,jackets, and coats should follow Riverside uniform policies. Solid color navy sweatshirts are acceptable.
• Capri pants are acceptable if they follow the Riverside uniform guidelines.
• Clothing displaying brand names will not be allowed.
• Please clearly label (first and last name) all jackets, coats, sweatshirts, sweaters, and other belongings.
